Choo, Choo!

I'm a little behind in my blogging.  Life, sometimes, has this way of getting in the way.  It was a busy month with birthdays and picnics but hopefully, now that it is summer, I will be able to catch up.
Silas' favourite place to visit right now is....anywhere that has a train.
He was waiting so patiently on my back for the train to stop and he couldn't keep his eyes off of it.

His language is just exploding.  I find kids grow up so much between 2 and 3.  At just turned 2, they are babies.  Still toddling.  Single words.  But as they near 3, you can see the shift into preschooler.  He's not there yet but his language is developing quickly.  He is using sentences and told me the other morning that he was off to "go play choo-choos.  At Sarahs!"

Silas did not stop smiling the entire time he was on the train.  He loved it.  And I'm not sure he would have ever been happy getting off the train.  No matter how many times we rode it.

This is one of our favourite places to go.  We always have so much fun.  This trip, Silas spent almost the entire time on my back.  Except when we were riding the train.  Is there anything more exciting than a train when you're 2?

Caleb and Sophie make up these games while we're there.

They love asking all sorts of questions.

And they participate in every activity that they happen to see.

The last time we were there, Sophie found a stage.  She put on a show for us that included singing and dancing with some gymnastics thrown in.

I know I've said this before but Sophie definitely has a style that is all her own.  Yes....those are pajama pants underneath her fancy dress.  She (obviously) picked out the outfit all by herself.  When I mentioned the pajama pants, she looked at me as if I was crazy.  Of course they were pajama pants.  Apparently, she chose them on purpose.

Just the other day, I realized that either Silas has been paying close attention to what Sophie chooses to wear or Sophie has been teaching him how to pick an outfit.  Because their styles seem to be a little bit similar.

At least they won't ever be dressed the same as anyone else.
